On Thursday, the 31-year-old singer changed his handle on the app from @justinbieber to @lilbieber.
Fans took to social media to speculate about why the singer may have changed his handle.
One person wrote on X: “Bro thinks he’s a rapper,” thinking back to 2014 when the singer went by @bizzle.
Others likened the name change to Britney Spears changing her name on the app to ‘Xila Maria River Red era’.
The singer gave no explanation about the name change, but posted a selection of black and white photos on Tuesday showing off his 10-month-old son, Jack, captioning the post “lil bieber”.
For months, rumors have been circulating about his relationship with wife, Hailey Bieber and some fans are even suggesting that they are not as happy as they may appear.
The couple haven’t publicly spoken about their relationship at the time of writing.
